Larry Plesent has been living with his Reactive Body for over 30 years. When he first realized that his skin was sensitized to many common man-made chemicals, he sought out all things natural and organic but was unable to find any personal care products that wouldn’t cause him to flare-up.

Larry began making his own cleaning, pet and body care products to organic food standards and it worked! He was dermatitis free for the first time in eight years. Larry knew he had something great to share with the world, so he got into the personal care manufacturing business and Vermont Soap was born. It’s mission: To change American Households into Nontoxic Homes by replacing yucky stuff with yummy stuff.

Larry Plesent is a writer, philosopher, gardener, restaurateur and soap maker living and working in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Larry is founder and CEO of Vermont Soap, one of the first companies in the US to manufacture cosmetic, hygiene and cleaning products certified to USDA organic food standards. He has been formulating products for people with Reactive Bodies since 1992.
